Proposition 215:

Patients in the state of California with a doctor's recommendation may use and cultivate cannabis and may designate primary caregivers if they have no means to obtain it themselves.

Senate Bill 420:

This bill allows for qualified patients to collectively or cooperatively cultivate cannabis for medical purposes and outlines a voluntary system to protect patients from arrest. SB 420 also prohibits any physician from being punished, or denied any right or privilege, for having recommended cannabis to a patient for medical purposes.
